Reporting and Compliance Specialist
The Reporting and Compliance Specialist plays a key role in ensuring compliance and accuracy in reporting restrictive practices. This position is responsible for managing detailed records, monitoring monthly reporting, and upholding regulatory standards to safeguard the rights of people with disabilities.
Your RoleThis role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain accurate data and governance. The primary goal is to ensure that all restrictive practices are reported accurately and on time, while also providing training and support to staff to ensure timely and correct reporting.
Responsibilities- Monitor and report on the monthly use of restrictive practices to state bodies and the NDIS.
- Provide training and support to staff to ensure timely and correct reporting.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and relevant frameworks.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to maintain accurate data and governance.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, authorisations, and reviews while contributing to continuous quality improvement.
- Experience with reportable incidents or regulatory reporting in disability, health, or related fields.
- Knowledge of human rights, positive behaviour support, and trauma-informed, person-centered practice.
- Strong time management skills and ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Understanding of relevant disability legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and build capacity in others.
This is a full-time position within the Quality, Safeguarding and Practice department.
