About Your RoleScope has an exciting and unique opportunity for a Restrictive Practices (RP) Regulatory Reporting Officer (RRO) to work within our Quality, Safeguarding and Practice (QSP).
The RP RRO Team plays a key role in ensuring compliance and accuracy in reporting restrictive practices. They manage detailed records, monitor monthly reporting, and uphold regulatory standards to safeguard the rights of people with disabilities. The team also partners with the APO to provide governance and oversight for behaviour support plans involving restrictive practices.
Your Key Focus- Accurately monitor and report on the monthly use of restrictive practices to state bodies and the NDIS.
- Provide training and support to staff to ensure timely and correct reporting.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and Scope's safeguarding framework.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Victorian Senior Practitioner, NDIS) to maintain accurate data and governance.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, authorisations, and reviews while contributing to continuous quality improvement.
- Experience with reportable incidents or regulatory reporting in disability, health, or related fields.
- Knowledge of human rights, positive behaviour support, and trauma-informed, person-centered practice.
- Strong time management skills and ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Understanding of relevant disability legislation and compliance requirements (e.g., Disability Act 2006, NDIS Quality & Safeguards).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and build capacity in others.
