We are seeking a skilled Volunteer Coordinator to join our team, responsible for the effective recruitment, processing, placement, and support of volunteers in Community Services, including the Toys 'n' Tucker program, Food & Financial Assistance, Mission & Partnerships, and other Partnership Programs.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit and engage suitable volunteers through multiple channels to meet the needs of our Community Services programs.
- Ensure volunteers are supported and resourced through organized information and access to Learning & Development opportunities.
- Identify and resolve any problems or issues volunteers may experience, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
- Collaborate with the Volunteer Manager, Volunteer Team Leader, and Community Services leadership to identify priority needs and ensure effective volunteer allocation.
- Maintain up-to-date volunteer details and compliance checks in collaboration with the Administration Coordinator.
- Organize recognition events and debriefing sessions to acknowledge and appreciate volunteers' contributions.
- Proven experience in coordinating a volunteer program, with a strong track record of success.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with volunteers and stakeholders.
- Well-developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- National Driver's License, with a willingness to travel as required.
