Primary Purpose Of The RoleThis position is responsible for leading the delivery of youth and young adult programs and services across the Northern Territory, with a strong emphasis on Community Development. The role involves engaging with local communities and other TSA expressions to develop strategic responses to identified needs, fostering strong relationships with key practice partners.
About The RoleWe are seeking a values-driven and proactive Youth Services Manager at our Darwin location. Reporting to the State Manager - Youth Services, this is a permanent, full-time role. The position requires intrastate/territory travel, with potential for interstate travel and some after-hours work.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the review and consolidation of Youth services within NT
- Contribute to the planning and lead the implementation of national frameworks and practice within the region
- Confirm active support for local mission delivery model in the region and participation in local area leadership teams, ensuring programs are resourced with adequate funding, staff, and resources
- Provide operational management of all Youth services within the region
- Maintain service delivery aligns to all aspects of the Youth Services Model of Care
- Build and lead a team of social service professionals to deliver services within the region, with a positive team culture that demonstrates the TSA values and mission
- Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development, or related field and relevant experience, including senior management experience
- High level understanding of contemporary youth work practices
- Experience in active membership in community or government bodies within the sector
- Relevant state Working with Children Check is required
- Current Drivers Licence
