About the Project Role
Our company has a strong reputation for providing high-quality engineering, construction, and maintenance services to various clients within the minerals, mining, materials handling & water treatment sectors.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project administration, contract administration, and commercial management of subcontractors. They should also possess advanced computer literacy skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
We are seeking a driven, self-starter with ambition and autonomy to join our team as a project administrator. Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and configuring jobs in our project management system
- Contract admin duties such as setting price codes, creating change orders and progress claims
- Engaging and assisting with commercial management of subcontractors
- Reviewing project expenditures for alignment with budget allocations and internal policies
- Assisting project managers to maintain rosters and co-ordinate travel
- Providing general administrative support for the site projects team
- Project admin procedure and process development
- Site onboarding of employees
- Goods receipting and assisting accounts payable
- Reporting
- Data entry maintenance of project QA and HSE registers

To be considered for this role, ideally you will:
- Hold 5+ years' experience in a similar role, including administrative/financial/commercial tasks for industrial projects
- Have advanced computer literacy with demonstrated high level skills in Microsoft Office
- Have demonstrated experience undertaking the above listed responsibilities
- Be a driven, self-starter with ambition and highly autonomous
- Have a clear focus on supporting internal and external clients
- Have the ability to achieve tight deadlines and use initiative to think outside the box to achieve business requirements
- Display exceptional people skills and impeccable organisational skills with the ability to be intuitive to others needs
- Be detail oriented
- Be resilient, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Engineering and Construction projects is highly regarded but not essential
