About This Position

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with expertise in Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF) to become a key member of our national specialist team.

This dynamic team continually adapts to the evolving needs of our clients, providing a supportive and engaging work atmosphere. You will have the chance to advance your career on your own terms, with direct access to leadership and a clear development framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and management of SMSF Financial Statements, Annual Returns, and Member's Statements, including Trustee Minutes and Section Notices.
  • Administration of SMSF BAS, IAS, and PAYG Payment Summaries.
  • Engagement with external auditors and regulatory bodies such as the ATO and ASIC.
  • Advising colleagues and escalating any compliance issues to the assigned Manager / Director / Partner.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Statements of Advice (SOAs).

Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience in the Australian SMSF sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, particularly in interpreting and reporting financial data.
  • A willingness to work collaboratively on a national scale, engaging with teams and clients across different regions.
  • Intermediate to advanced IT skills, with experience in Class Super being advantageous.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications or professional accreditations in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent international qualifications.
