At Aurizon, we are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Townsville.

About the Role:
  • Operate various types of heavy lifting and light lifting forklifts and reachstacker equipment.
  • Load and unload containerised freight from trucks and rail lines.
  • Communicate effectively with transport coordinators and supervisors via two-way radios.
  • Conduct regular pre-start vehicle checks on operating machinery.
  • Perform general terminal duties as directed, including computer work and minor servicing of equipment.
About You:
  • You must hold a current Forklift licence as part of your High-Risk Licence.
  • A Reachstacker Ticket is also required.
  • A C Class driver's licence is necessary for this role.
  • Prior experience driving a forklift (32 tonne) is essential.
  • You should be able to carry out routine container movements using a forklift (50+ movements per day).
  • Able to use a tablet accurately.
Estimated Salary:

We offer an attractive $80,000 - $120,000 per annum salary package, depending on experience.
