Heavy Diesel Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Diesel Service Technician to join our dynamic team at Cummins Inc.
About the Role:
This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to work with heavy-duty engines, providing top-notch maintenance and repair services. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products, attending to breakdowns in the field, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products
- Attend to breakdowns in the field on an on-call roster
- First responder to breakdown events
- Fleet maintenance
- Capturing engine data
- Fault diagnostics
- Diverse range engine repairs, both major and minor
- Inspect and replace components as required
- Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
- Work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
- Work with other major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)
Requirements:
- Field service experience preferred, coupled with heavy-duty engine experience
- Relevant trade qualification (Heavy Diesel preferred but not necessary)
- Strong engine diagnostic experience
- Ability to work autonomously/remotely for extended periods
- Genuine commitment to workplace safety
- Valid driver's license
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive hourly rate paid as a permanent salary, relocation assistance from anywhere in Australia, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, tool of trade vehicle provided plus tool allowance, overtime & loading penalties, safety equipment/PPE and uniforms provided, further training on site, income protection continuance insurance, discounts with private health insurance, PC software/hardware, and vehicles, annual remuneration review, and participation in an annual variable compensation program.
