Job Title: Chief Operations Officer

Page Personnel Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operations Officer to join our client, a leading engineering business, in a strategic leadership role.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's operational teams, including Supply Chain, Engineering, Fabrication, and Trades. This will involve leading the development and execution of strategic and operational plans aligned to the company's growth and diversification pathway.

The COO will also be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations to ensure the company is delivering on its objectives and targets. This will include identifying and delivering on an ongoing continuous improvement plan by implementing market-leading best practice processes.

Additionally, the COO will assist the business in the deployment of its overseas expansion, including international trade, customs, contract negotiations, and other supply chain activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the company's operational teams, including Supply Chain, Engineering, Fabrication, and Trades.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic and operational plans aligned to the company's growth and diversification pathway.
  • Lead the day-to-day operations to ensure the company is delivering on its objectives and targets.
  • Identify and deliver on an ongoing continuous improvement plan by implementing market-leading best practice processes.
  • Assist the business in the deployment of its overseas expansion, including international trade, customs, contract negotiations, and other supply chain activities.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership success in complex industrial business environments. They will have an understanding of technical operations such as engineering, project management, trades, fabrication, and supply chain.

The candidate will also demonstrate experience in managing some overseas operations as part of their skill set for areas such as supply chain, business growth, or multiple sites in overseas locations.

They will be a passionate leader who is committed to developing and retaining their team as well as contributing to the growth of the business.

Their skill set will also include a combination of financial acumen along with the technical operational background.
