Senior Grants and Procurement Advisor

Flexhive is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Grants and Procurement Advisor to join our central Procurement and Contracts Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grants and procurement, with experience in providing strategic and operational advice to support best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on grants, procurements, and contract management to support team strategies and forward planning.
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement and grants policies and procedures.
  • Manage grant processes and contribute to internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Encourage best practices in procurements and grants, ensuring value for money and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Actively participate in achieving team outcomes and delivering quality results.
  • Participate in planning for the Procurement and Contracts Unit, including staff development and mentoring.
  • Offer specialist authoritative advice on grants and procurements, ensuring compliance with legislative, financial, and administrative frameworks.
  • Keep contract, procurement, and grant guidelines and procedures up to date.
  • Maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain an extensive understanding of GrantConnect, panels, and procurement systems.
  • Engage in knowledge transfer and capability uplift of grants and procurement.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage multiple small projects, ensuring timely delivery.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in grants within a Commonwealth Government environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Commonwealth grant guidelines, processes, and best practices.
  • Sound understanding of Commonwealth procurement principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Sound understanding of contract management principles and vendor performance evaluation.

This is a 12 month non-ongoing contract with potential for a 6 month extension. You will have the opportunity to work with a passionate team, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop your skills through continuous learning and professional development.

Salary range is $98,575 - $108,492 + 15.4% super with an increase scheduled in March 2025.
