Job Title: APS 6 Senior Grants and Procurement Specialist

Hudson Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced APS 6 Senior Grants and Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our central Procurement and Contracts Unit, you will play a critical role in providing strategic and operational advice on grants, procurements, and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on grants, procurements, and contract management to support team strategies and forward planning.
  • Assist with training and communications across the agency to promote best practices in procurements and grants.
  • Manage grant processes and contribute to internal and external reporting requirements to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Encourage value for money and compliance with legislative, financial, and administrative frameworks.
  • Actively participate in achieving team outcomes and delivering quality results.
  • Participate in planning for the Procurement and Contracts Unit, including staff development and mentoring.
  • Offer specialist authoritative advice on grants and procurements to ensure compliance with legislative, financial, and administrative frameworks.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain an extensive understanding of GrantConnect, panels, AusTender, and TechOne OneGov to ensure effective grant and procurement management.
  • Engage in knowledge transfer and capability uplift of grants and procurement to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience in grants within a Commonwealth Government environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Commonwealth grant guidelines, processes, and best practices.
  • Sound understanding of Commonwealth procurement principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Sound understanding of contract management principles and vendor performance evaluation.

This is a 12 month non-ongoing contract with potential for a 6 month extension. You will have the opportunity to work with a passionate team, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop your skills through continuous learning and professional development. Salary range is $98,575 - $108,492 + 15.4% super with an increase scheduled in March 2025.
