Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for cooking and be eager to work in a fast-paced culinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and production of various dishes
  • Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace
  • Learn and develop culinary skills under senior chefs
  • Assist in receiving and storage of food and supplies
  • Assist Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and oversee food preparation
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff fostering a collaborative work environment
  • Ensure all dishes meet highest standards of quality and presentation
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and minimise waste for optimal efficiency
  • Assist with menu development and special event planning

Requirements:

  • Culinary degree or relevant training preferred
  • Experience in an à la carte kitchen essential
  • Comfortable working in Grill, Pans, and Fryer sections
  • Previous experience in hotel or banquets environments advantageous
  • Passion for culinary arts and creativity in the kitchen
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Evening and weekend availability required
