About Roasting and Quality Management

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Roasting & Quality Manager to lead our roasting and quality operations in Melbourne.

This role is critical in ensuring our coffee meets exceptional standards every day. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing roasting schedules, green bean inventory, quality control processes, and preventative maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and coach team members in roasting and quality operations
  • Develop and manage roasting schedules and green bean inventory at the site
  • Promote quality control processes including tastings, cuppings, grading, and reporting
  • Oversee roasting plant performance and develop preventative maintenance plans
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain external technical relationships
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on coffee, operations, and commercial teams
  • Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, sustainability, and product consistency
  • Sustain food safety, HACCP, and quality certification standards

This is a hands-on role with national influence, perfect for someone who understands the craft and science of roasting and is passionate about building a quality-driven coffee culture.
