Site Operations Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations at one of our sites. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organization that connects grain growers with local and international customers.
About the RoleThe Assistant Site Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective reception, storage, and outload of grain via road and rail. You will work closely with a team of permanent Grain Handlers to deliver exceptional service and support to our customers.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the workflow of the team and provide guidance on attracting, selecting, training, and developing team members
- Develop and maintain relationships with growers, customers, local community groups, and internal stakeholders
- Support the implementation and review of site budgets and participate in financial planning
- Assist with resource planning for grain receival and outload activities during peak and off-peak periods
- Support the planning and execution of scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance, grain protection, safety, and quality activities and related reporting
- Supervise a large seasonal workforce during busy harvest intake periods, including at multiple sites
We are looking for someone with plant operations experience gained in any industry, a strong safety mindset, and a genuine desire to make a positive contribution to the agricommodities industry. The ideal candidate should have:
- SOME EXPERIENCE IN SUPERVISING TEAMS (OR THE POTENTIAL TO)
- ABILITY TO WORK IN A DIVERSE TEAM ENVIRONMENT
- GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS, TIME MANAGEMENT, AND IT LITERACY
- PROCESS DRIVEN
- CAPABILITY TO WORK AT HEIGHTS AND IN CONFINED SPACES
