About the Role

The Assistant Site Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective reception, storage, and outload of grain via road and rail. You will work closely with a team of permanent Grain Handlers to deliver exceptional service and support to our customers.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the workflow of the team and provide guidance on attracting, selecting, training, and developing team members
  • Develop and maintain relationships with growers, customers, local community groups, and internal stakeholders
  • Support the implementation and review of site budgets and participate in financial planning
  • Assist with resource planning for grain receival and outload activities during peak and off-peak periods
  • Support the planning and execution of scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance, grain protection, safety, and quality activities and related reporting
  • Supervise a large seasonal workforce during busy harvest intake periods, including at multiple sites
About Your Experience

We are looking for someone with plant operations experience gained in any industry, a strong safety mindset, and a genuine desire to make a positive contribution to the agricommodities industry. The ideal candidate should have:

  • SOME EXPERIENCE IN SUPERVISING TEAMS (OR THE POTENTIAL TO)
  • ABILITY TO WORK IN A DIVERSE TEAM ENVIRONMENT
  • GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS, TIME MANAGEMENT, AND IT LITERACY
  • PROCESS DRIVEN
  • CAPABILITY TO WORK AT HEIGHTS AND IN CONFINED SPACES
