About the Opportunity

Crawford & Company is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's financial performance through financial planning and analysis, management reporting, pricing analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly analysis of business unit results, including preparation of the monthly financial report as per the monthly timetable.
  • Maintain and update Profit and Loss forecast for the business monthly.
  • The analysis of commercial reports together with recommendations of financial solutions that will enable Crawford & Company to improve its financial performance.
  • Business partnering with various key decision makers across the business at both an operational and tactical level to help achieve the company's financial goals.
  • Assist in pricing analysis model development for the company.
  • Assist in providing commercial input and analysis on contract pricing and RFP's (Request for proposals).
  • Work with Finance staff and administrative support divisions to obtain data and information to meet financial objectives.
  • Review and reconciliation of Oracle EPM (US) to local accounts ensuring local accounts agree with US reporting.
  • Assist in the co-ordination, analysis and consolidation of the annual budgeting process, ensuring that this aligns with corporate strategies.
  • Standardising and automating reporting tools to drive financial measures and enable Crawford Australia to achieve its strategic objectives.
  • Assist with special project work & ad-hoc assistance as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three (3) years' experience as a financial analyst.
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • CPA/CA qualified.
  • Business Modelling and Pricing capabilities.
  • Strong Excel experience.
  • Understanding of accounting policies and procedures, including branch operations.
  • Excellent computer skills and understanding of financial applications software and databases. Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
  • Good communication skills (written & spoken).
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to create detailed management reports in Excel from performance data.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse financial reports and results.
