Job Overview

The OSHC Service Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing the daily operations of before and after school care services. Key responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging activities for children, supervising and supporting their development, preparing healthy food options, and creating a safe environment.

  • Coordinate daily service operations, including designing and implementing quality programs for children.
  • Supervise and mentor children during care hours, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to cater to diverse dietary needs.
  • Maintain an inclusive and stimulating atmosphere through various activities and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure effective management of the service, including staff supervision and child safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee exceptional child safety and care standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve program goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • A Certificate IV, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Children's Services or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Employee Working with Children's Checks (willingness to obtain).
  • HLTAID012 First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Training.
  • Child Protection (CHCPRT001 - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk).
Professional Qualifications
  • Advanced certificate or diploma in children's services or equivalent field.
  • Up-to-date working with children checks and first aid certification.
  • Strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
