This is a critical role in supporting clients with unique needs and requirements.
The Behavior Intervention Specialist plays a vital part in the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements individualized behavior intervention plans to support client progress
- Provides one-on-one instruction to clients focusing on skills in communication, emotional regulation, social skills, play, and daily living
- Supports clients in decreasing behaviors of concern through effective strategies and techniques
- Collaborates with BCBA to review and adjust behavior intervention plans as necessary
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Patience and empathy when working with clients and their families
- Capacity to adapt to changing situations and priorities
