Job Title: Data Center Engineering Operations Trainee

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Data Center Engineering Operations Trainee. This role will provide opportunities for professional growth and development in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure that all work performed adheres to established practices, procedures, and local legislation. They will also maintain performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.

This position involves working in a collaborative environment with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in data center engineering or a related field, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with established practices, procedures, and local legislation.
  • Maintain performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
  • Generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets as directed.
  • Contribute to documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
  • Participate in routine maintenance and emergency services for critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
  • Learn about the design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new facilities.
  • Manage Facility assets and provide infrastructure and inventory asset management as directed.
  • Interface with Infra Ops teams for day-to-day operational requirements.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in data center engineering or a related field is desired.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • A strong leadership and organizational mindset is essential.
