Job Title: Operations Leadership Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled operations leadership specialist to lead our team in the Whitsunday region.

  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to ensure the effective delivery of road maintenance, transport, pavement, and drainage services.
  • Develop, implement, and manage operational plans in alignment with asset management principles and regional needs.
  • Handle customer requests promptly and professionally, ensuring that their needs are met while maintaining high-quality service standards.
  • Lead negotiations and management of contracts with stakeholders.
  • Support achievement of corporate and operational plan objectives.
  • Deliver technical advice to senior management and oversee the maintenance of assets across the region.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, leading a team of approximately 50 operational staff. You will be fully supported by a skilled team, including management accountants, administrative assistants, works coordinators, and asset inspectors.
