Research Director Role

Develop and deliver strategic research content to drive business growth and thought leadership.

This role involves producing timely, relevant research outputs from weekly market updates to flagship reports, while acting as a spokesperson through keynote presentations, market briefings, media commentary, and engaging multi-channel content.

  • Establishing and delivering a content schedule including weekly market blogs, regular flagship reports, and topical research publications.
  • Engaging with print, radio, TV, and online media to provide expert commentary and respond to key market events.
  • Delivering compelling keynote presentations and tailored briefings to industry bodies, clients, and consumers to enhance brand awareness and positioning the company as a leading voice in property analysis.
  • Maintaining data quality and integrity by collaborating with analytics, data, and product teams to ensure research outputs are accurate, timely, and meet high standards.
  • Identifying revenue opportunities via public speaking, report syndication, and consulting activities.
  • Supporting clients with tailored market insights and contributing to cross-functional projects including marketing campaigns and strategic planning.
  • Managing travel commitments to deliver presentations and engage with stakeholders across key Australian cities and regional locations.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a research leader or senior economist with a strong track record in property market analysis or related fields.
  • Formal qualifications in economics, finance, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication and demonstrated experience as a confident media spokesperson, comfortable engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Skills in producing engaging research content that drives brand visibility and thought leadership.
  • Able to work collaboratively across teams including media, social media, analytics, and product.
  • Comfortable with regular travel to key Australian cities and regional locations.
  • Commercially minded with an understanding of revenue generation through research products and consulting.
