Operations Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Mosman, NSW. This is a part-time role that requires the ability to drive end-to-end operational excellence by embedding streamlined and efficient processes both front and back of house.

  • This role is responsible for ensuring seamless stock flow, efficient operations, and a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all back-of-house operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient support function for the store.
  • Lead the team to deliver store operational excellence through effective stock management and loss prevention activities.
  • Partner with retail management and visual merchandising to drive a culture of continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to enhance stockroom efficiency, refill processes, merchandise presentation, and stock schedule recommendations.
  • Manage daily financial operations, including end-of-day reconciliation, banking procedures, and secure cash handling in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide training and development for the team on operational excellence, including key processes like inventory management and stock availability.
  • Maintain a well-organised and efficient stockroom, adhering to established standards, managing deliveries, and ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Identify and raise opportunities to further operational efficiency via process improvements, utilising available technology and sharing best practice.
  • Implement and adhere to workplace health and safety policies and procedures, guidelines, and safe work practices within your area of responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in a stockroom or warehouse management role, ideally within a retail environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems and processes.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve operational goals.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures and practices.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for stock management and reporting.
