Teaching Opportunity in Visual Arts

This is a permanent full-time position available as soon as possible.

We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team of professionals dedicated to creating a culturally responsive learning environment that fosters excellence, innovation, and student success. As a Visual Arts educator, you will have the opportunity to empower students to grow, lead, and thrive by investing in professional development through high-quality learning, mentoring, and leadership opportunities.

The successful applicant will have developed knowledge in the Visual Arts area of the curriculum with strong teaching and classroom management skills, and be able to develop good relationships with students and engage them in highly effective learning. They will engage in professional learning and work professionally with colleagues, and have strong communication and interpersonal skills, working as a member of a vibrant and enthusiastic school team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum that meets the needs of all students
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in education

Requirements:

  • Degree in Education or related field
  • Qualifications in Visual Arts or related field
  • Registration with the relevant teaching authority
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
