About the Role

The Property Officer will be responsible for the compliant and lawful delivery of prisoner property services. This role will involve processing of property, safe storage and accurate record keeping through local platforms such as PIMS and EJustice.

Some key duties of this role include:

  • Maintaining daily operations of the Prisoner Property/Clothing store
  • Data input into PIMS and EJustice while identifying prisoner property held in stores and cell
  • Update records as required on acquisition/disposal/transfer of property while ensuring safe and secure storage of all prisoner property including prisoner valuables

The successful candidate will require excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with prisoners directly. Some bending and lifting may be involved.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Clerical experience preferably in Stores
  • Ability to develop and maintain records and systems relating to administrative functions
  • Ability to undertake inquiries and stocktakes, maintain inventories, prepare reports, correspondence and statistical returns

A certificate or diploma in a relevant field would be advantageous but not essential. The most important thing is your passion for delivering excellent results and your commitment to our organisational values.
