Job Title: Natural Gas Supply Chain Specialist

Synopsis:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring and securing natural gas supplies to maximize business value.

Description:

  • The incumbent will oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and management of natural gas supply agreements to deliver optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Monitor market prices and facilitate discussions on value in use.
  • Develop and execute strategies for gas and environmental products aligned with long-term sustainability and cost-effectiveness goals.
  • Negotiate, develop, and manage contracts for supply, transportation, and storage of natural gas.
  • Contribute to external policy advocacy on energy and climate change.

This role may require some weekend work.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Experience in gas trading and operations within the Australian market, including coordination with pipeline operators and other market participants.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in reporting – SQL and Power BI experience is advantageous.
  • Able to work independently, multitask, and demonstrate strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
