Job Summary

The Department of Education is seeking a Senior Change Analyst to join their Portfolio and Financial Management Improvement (PFMI) Program.

The role involves coordinating and delivering change activities, building readiness, supporting adoption, and strengthening engagement across the program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing fit-for-purpose change strategies and implementation plans;
  • Coordinating and tracking change activities, timelines, and deliverables across multiple stakeholder groups;
  • Maintaining change artefacts, such as stakeholder maps, readiness checklists, and impact assessments;
  • Assisting in identifying impacted stakeholders and supporting engagement planning;
  • Helping prepare stakeholder presentations, communications, and briefing materials;
  • Monitoring feedback channels and ensuring issues and risks are captured and escalated appropriately;
  • Drafting and maintaining communication materials, including FAQs, updates, and newsletters;
  • Assisting in the coordination and delivery of training activities, including scheduling, logistics, and feedback collection;
  • Maintaining engagement registers, training records, and supporting change tracking dashboards;
  • Facilitating and documenting change impact assessments with input from stakeholders, SMEs, and key project team members;
  • Monitoring and reporting on business readiness indicators and supporting mitigation activities where needed;

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience delivering or certification in change management methodologies, such as Prosci or ADKAR;
  • Demonstrated experience in business transformation and change projects, ideally in government, large, or complex organisations;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and stakeholder engagement experience;
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work across competing priorities.
