Job Description:

  • Receive and process orders for the transportation of perishable goods from clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Determine specific requirements for each shipment, such as temperature controls, packaging, and documentation.
  • Arrange transportation with carriers, airlines, or shipping lines, and negotiate rates to optimize cost-effectiveness and on-time delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines concerning the transportation of perishable goods, including but not limited to temperature control requirements, safety standards, and documentation.
  • Prepare and review necessary shipping and customs documentation, such as airway bills, bills of lading, certificates, permits, and licenses.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipments, including tracking information and delivery status.
  • Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing perishable goods to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Conduct inspections of perishable cargo, packaging, and temperature control equipment to identify any potential issues or deviations.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and suggest innovative solutions to optimize perishable logistics operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for receiving and processing orders for the transportation of perishable goods.
  • Ensure all shipments are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide high-quality customer service and respond promptly to inquiries.

Requirements:
1 year experience in a similar role. Dangerous Goods Certification. Up-to-date knowledge of processing EDNs. Ability to raise RFPs through approved software. Strong communication and organizational skills.
