Your New Role - Warehouse Manager Your duties and responsibilities will be as follows: Plan, direct, and maintain an efficient warehouse operation.
Ensure warehouse operations comply with best practices and health & safety legislation.
Ensure the efficient utilization of all warehouse space and mechanical handling equipment, meeting quality, budgetary, and environmental objectives.
Work to achieve warehouse labor targets as per budget requirements.
Oversee receipt, inspection, storage, order assembly, and distribution of stock to customers and suppliers.
Collaborate with managers and supervisors to implement initiatives that improve efficiency and service levels.
Evaluate and recommend changes in staffing, organizational structure, hours of operation, and other operational efficiencies.
Organize and manage outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy and condition of items.
Supervise inventory control, minimize stock loss, and manage stock rotation and expiry dates.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and schedules related to stock handling and record maintenance.
Assess existing equipment and recommend replacements or upgrades to maximize handling efficiency and meet future technological needs.
Implement security procedures for warehouse operations.
Evaluate subordinate staff performance and oversee recruitment, training, and discipline.
What you will need to succeed At least 2 years of relevant warehouse, import, and export logistics experience.
Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
Current forklift license.
Previous warehouse manager experience.
Ability to develop and train staff, build relationships, and utilize workforce skills effectively.
Effective management of warehouse operations.
Ability to prioritize and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
Competence in maintaining workforce records and documentation.
Clear communication skills and attentive listening.
Proficiency in operating all necessary equipment.
Teamwork skills and experience working with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Punctuality and flexibility to work outside normal hours as needed.
Experience in planning, prioritizing, and working safely under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
