As a seasoned professional, you will lead the migration of WebSphere Application Server from AIX 7.1 to Red Hat Enterprise Linux v8.2, ensuring a seamless transition while optimising performance, security, high availability, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Significant experience working with IBM WebSphere Application Server, including installation, configuration, and administration.
  • Hands-on experience with WebSphere migrations, particularly from AIX to RHEL, with a proven track record of executing enterprise-level migrations.
  • Expertise in Linux (RHEL) and AIX, including command-line operations, scripting, and system administration.
  • Experience implementing and managing WebSphere in high availability environments, including clustering, load balancing, and failover mechanisms.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform for deployment and configuration management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders, document processes, and present recommendations.
