Mathematics Education Leader

This is a highly demanding role for an experienced mathematics educator seeking to lead and inspire their peers.

  • Leveraging their expertise in mathematics education, the successful candidate will drive curriculum design and implementation aligned with Departmental policies and priorities.
  • They will develop and implement strategies to promote inclusive teaching practices catering to diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Mentoring and supporting teachers of varying experience, they will enhance pedagogical skills and confidence.
  • Fostering collaborative relationships with colleagues, they will drive whole-school improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effective change management processes within a dynamic educational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare, with the ability to design and implement quality teaching and learning programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Proven experience in leading educational teams and managing performance to drive student outcomes.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies.
