Mathematics Department Leader

Our Mathematics Department is seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing the school's vision and mission in their area of responsibility, coordinating programs of work across the mathematics department, and ensuring syllabus content meets NESA requirements and the school's teaching and learning framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mathematics curricula that align with NESA requirements and the school's teaching and learning framework.
  • Lead and manage a team of mathematics teachers to ensure effective delivery of curriculum programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to develop and implement whole-school initiatives that promote mathematical understanding and literacy.

For this role, we are looking for an individual who has a strong passion for mathematics education and a proven track record of leadership and management experience. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.

A bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field is required, along with relevant teaching qualifications. You will also have demonstrated expertise in mathematics education, including curriculum design and delivery, and assessment and evaluation.
