About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill a Policy Analyst position within our team. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in economics and/or public policy to provide timely, accurate, accessible, and fit-for-purpose advice on complex economic, financial, and/or public policy issues.

  • You will contribute to and manage projects to inform policy development, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate within and outside the team on economic, financial, and/or public policy projects, contributing to fostering a positive team culture and participating in planning and decision-making.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A thorough understanding of the role and influence of State government in policy-making.
  • Demonstrated experience shaping stakeholders' views and supporting informed decision-making on complex issues.
  • Conceptual, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the capacity to solve complex problems and interpret and synthesise information.
  • Strong communication skills, including conveying complex issues persuasively in plain language.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with team members and a range of stakeholders.
