Project Delivery Specialist

The Project Delivery Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of projects. They are responsible for providing project management and engineering support to assigned projects, fostering strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review project files prior to kick-off meetings to ensure comprehensiveness, reporting any gaps or omissions to stakeholders and agreeing on resolution timelines.
  • Develop and implement project execution plans and schedules, covering engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality, based on contractual requirements and established procedures.
  • Generate requests for quotations (RFQs) for suppliers' scope of work, evaluate quotations, negotiate technical and commercial terms, and liaise with suppliers until Purchase Order award and acceptance.
  • Assume single point of contact responsibility for project suppliers, monitoring order progress, expediting, responding to technical queries, managing document submission and review processes, arranging bank security bonds, and reviewing completion of milestones.
  • Liaise with customers on assigned topics and manage document submissions.
  • Proactively lead to ensure timely production of project deliverables in line with baseline plans.
  • Supervise project staff and manufacturing processes, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Evaluate projects against allocated budgets and timeframes, participating in meetings and preparing training sessions as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Eight years' project management experience, including understanding of Engineering, Fabrication Procedures, Sourcing, Procurement, Shipping, and QA/QC Methods.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or Project Management.
  • Proven experience in managing projects that adhere to timelines, budgets, quality, and mitigate risk.
  • Commercial awareness and financial objectives of projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, building strong business relationships with customers.
