About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated DC Warehouse Team Manager to oversee the operations of our Inbound and put away team at our Melbourne Airport, Tullamarine facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and support the development of a team of 20 or more inbound staff, fostering a culture that is agile and adaptable to change.
  • Manage the container unloading team and rostering accordingly.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety compliance and promote a culture of safety.
  • Optimize warehouse resource levels to meet service levels and customer expectations.
  • Liaise and communicate daily with key stakeholders to ensure service to our business.
  • Ensure Container unload turnaround times and pallet put away times are met.
  • Prepare and report on agreed KPI measures and analysis to ensure targets are met.
  • Support the Operations Manager in identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Support Continuous Improvement by identifying performance/process gaps.
  • Conduct daily Toolbox Meetings to keep the team informed.

About You

We are looking for a proven leader with experience in a similar role within a large, fast-paced DC environment. You should have a strong ability to lead and motivate others to succeed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar warehouse management leadership role.
  • Experience using complex warehouse management systems (SAP) is desirable.
  • Previous exposure in a Greenfield or Go Live automated environment would be advantageous.
  • Microsoft Office – intermediate.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
  • Strong focus on safety and building a culture.
  • Ability to follow up and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to collaborate with others to achieve business goals.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads.
