The role of Private Credit Fund Accountant is critical in ensuring the day-to-day operations and reporting for private credit funds are carried out efficiently.

Job Description

This position will support the financial management and administration of private credit funds, including fund accounting, client reporting, and other ad-hoc projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily cash forecasting, monitoring investment activities, and managing liquidity requirements.

Key responsibilities include capital call and distribution processes, working schedules, and notices prepared by third-party administrators.

Managing credit and leverage facility operations, such as drawdown, repayment, payment process, and covenant reporting, is also a critical aspect of this role.

The Fund Accountant will oversee quarterly NAV reporting packages and their supporting schedules from third-party administrators.

Additional responsibilities include approving investor statements, annual financial statements, management fee and performance fee calculations, and fund performance metrics at both fund and asset levels.

Produce investor reporting packages, including investment manager's reports, portfolio details reports, and various ad-hoc reporting.

Aid the investment team in deal funding processes to ensure timely funding.

Ensure fund budget and expenses align with fund documents and expectations, and payments are approved and processed in a timely manner.

Work closely with internal and external parties for the fund's external audit.

Prepare investor reporting for regulatory compliance purposes.

Address queries and resolve issues from internal and external stakeholders proactively.

Assist in various ad-hoc projects to improve fund oversight models, processes, and controls.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Accounting qualification required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in financial services.
  • Recent and relevant experience covering responsibilities stated above.
  • Prior experience working on closed and open-end funds/private credit fund accounting/administration/audit with experience in fund management, fund accounting, fund administration, or fund audit.
  • Experience in multi-currency reporting, hedging strategy, and new fund launches.
  • Proactive with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Attention to detail while functioning within global processes.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of trial balances, reconciliations, TPA operating models, and financial statements.
  • Good understanding of operational risks and controls.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Aladdin (preferred) but not essential. Prior experience across fund accounting software.
  • Excellent Power BI and Excel skills.
