**Job Title:** Head Teacher Welfare

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate education leader to join our team as a Head Teacher Welfare. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is dedicated to improving student wellbeing and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead systemic approaches to student engagement, attendance, trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour supports.
  2. Advance whole-school wellbeing with emphasis on student voice, cross-curricular wellbeing initiatives and authentic community partnerships.
  3. Drive attendance, student voice and mental health strategies; strengthen a culture of care and connectedness.
  4. Collaborate with the Learning and Support Team to develop case management systems and individualised plans.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of educational leadership and student wellbeing principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, staff and parents.
  • Ability to lead and manage complex caseloads and facilitate professional learning.
  • Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain effective working relationships with external support agencies and Department of Education staff.
