As a Welfare Focused Support Worker, you will be the first point of contact for individuals reaching out for support.

Job Description

Support vulnerable members of the public by navigating referral systems and providing empathetic responses. Ensure dignity and respect are maintained throughout the process by guiding individuals toward alternative pathways when necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Navigate referrals from both the public and professional networks while maintaining a warm and empathetic response.
  • Ensure that individuals are guided toward appropriate services or resources to meet their needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Certificate IV or Diploma in Welfare Work (or similar) with recent experience performing in a welfare role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience using IT systems and client registration systems.
  • Desirable: Experience using EMR/Cerner and IPM, ISBAR framework, and triage skills.
