Senior Assessment Officer

About the Role:
The Department for Energy and Mining is seeking a highly skilled Senior Assessment Officer to join the Exploration Regulation Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for coordinating and leading exploration program assessments of a sensitive and complex nature.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply legislation, associated policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including other State agencies, to achieve program objectives.
- Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor compliance with legislative requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree in Science, Environmental Management, or Engineering related to the resources industry.
- Proven experience in regulatory assessment and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
