Music Educator Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic music educator to join our school community and lead our high-quality music program. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and engage students from Pre-Primary to Year 6, fostering a lifelong appreciation for music.

The successful applicant will have the chance to develop strong relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community. They will also be responsible for coordinating and leading extra-curricular music activities, including but not limited to choir, bands, and IMSS, adding value to existing programs and fostering student talent.

Apart from their teaching skills, the ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative in enhancing student engagement and behavior, contributing positively to whole-school culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspire and engage students through innovative and differentiated music instruction aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum.
  • Develop strong relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community.
  • Coordinate and lead extra-curricular music activities, including but not limited to choir, bands, and IMSS.

Requirements
  • Hold an eligible degree in Music Education or related field.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting.
  • Obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department's Screening Unit before starting.
