This is a permanent part-time (0.6 FTE) position commencing Term 4, 2025

The School
Margaret River Primary School is a level 5 school located in a picturesque setting with established gardens. There is strong community support for the school, parents and the local community actively assist in school activities. Our school ethos is Innovate, Engage and Inspire and students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of specialist areas in and out of school to complement the core learning curriculum.

The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Music Specialist Teacher to join our vibrant school community and lead our high-quality music program. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students from Pre-Primary to Year 6, fostering a lifelong appreciation for music.
Our school takes pride in delivering a comprehensive and high-quality music program, which includes classroom music instruction as well as a strong commitment to extra-curricular activities. We work closely with the school community to promote music through a range of successful initiatives, including choir, school bands, and the Instrumental Music School Services (IMSS) program.
The successful applicant will ideally :
- Inspire and engage students through innovative and differentiated music instruction aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum.
- Develop strong relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community.
- Coordinate and lead extra-curricular music activities, including but not limited to choir, bands, and IMSS, adding value to existing programs and fostering student talent.
- Demonstrate initiative in enhancing student engagement and behaviour, contributing positively to whole-school culture.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to the school's ongoing development of music and the arts.
Applicants with demonstrated experience in planning, delivering, and assessing an engaging and challenging music curriculum, as well as leading extra-curricular music initiatives, will be highly regarded.
