Revenue Analysis Role

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic professionals to join our Revenue Analysis team in a business area focused on policy, analysis, and legislation.

  • Undertake research, query, and extract data using data software tools;
  • Perform data analysis and contribute to the annual report;
  • Assist in preparing tax collection and administered expense forecasts for inclusion in the Commonwealth Budget;
  • Prepare financial statements and provide reporting on tax collections and administered payments to partners;
  • Provide advice and data on the impacts of new policy proposals on administered revenue and expenses, departmental costs, and compliance costs;
  • Contribute to the ATO's compliance effectiveness measures, provide statistical advice, and prepare ATO data for annual release in the Taxation Statistics publication or for independent research analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills;
  • Research and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work with data software tools;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of taxation laws and regulations;
  • Understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes;
  • Statistical analysis and interpretation skills.
