About the Role: A strategic leader is required to oversee production facility operations.

This is a full-time role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of production, ensuring efficient and effective operations that deliver high-quality products.

  • Provide overall leadership and management of manufacturing, including production, maintenance, health and safety, and quality control.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to drive continuous improvement, optimise productivity, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and develop a team of skilled production, maintenance, and support personnel, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to address operational challenges and drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to align operations with broader business objectives.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on site performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in a senior manufacturing or operations management role, preferably within the meat industry.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of implementing innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Thorough understanding of production processes, quality control, and health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Financial acumen and the ability to develop and monitor budgets, analyse performance data, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Tertiary qualification in operations management, or a related field is highly desirable.
