Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operations of our art centre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the centre's operations, leading artist development programs, exhibitions, and events. This is a collaborative role that requires strong leadership and communication skills.

This role presents a unique opportunity to work with First Nations artists, storytelling, and community connection in a culturally safe and professional environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the centre's operations, budget, and strategy
  • Coordinate artist payments, contracts, and administration
  • Provide leadership and guidance to retail staff to ensure an excellent visitor experience
  • Oversee artist studios, exhibitions, sales, and merchandise development
  • Facilitate programming in consultation with the advisory body and elders
  • Build partnerships and source funding through grants and sponsorships
  • Cultivate relations with galleries, institutions, and community partners

  • Requirements:
  • Leadership and project coordination experience in arts, culture, or community settings
  • An understanding of Aboriginal culture, including cultural protocols and art
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Experience with grant writing, budgeting, and reporting
  • A current driver's license and ability to obtain a national police clearance
