Autism Teaching Specialist

Teaching Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated educator to work with 2 reception students with Autism in a vibrant learning environment.
The school provides education for the local area in primary (R-6) and secondary (7-12) teams. Modern facilities, small classes and spacious grounds including an agriculture block, gym/hall, music space, cultural room, art space, specialist technologies and science spaces provide a great working atmosphere.
As a classroom teacher for 2 reception students with autism, you will be supported by another teacher working with an Autistic student, Autism Inclusion Teacher, Assistant Principal - Intervention & Support/Wellbeing, experienced SSO support for students with additional needs, and ongoing professional learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom teaching for 2 reception students with autism
- Implementing Berry Street Education Model approaches
- Contributing to the primary team
- Engaging with support staff
