About the Role

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our team as a Procurement Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee procurement and contract management activities, ensuring effective and efficient practices that align with organisational goals and comply with relevant policies and procedures.

  2. Provide strategic commercial and procurement advice to internal stakeholders, focusing on mitigating commercial and contractual risks.

  3. Lead and manage procurement practices across the organisation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality procurement services for a range of goods and services.

  4. Facilitate tender processes, providing expertise regarding procurement policies, processes, and relevant laws.

  5. Ensure procurement, exemptions, and contracts all comply with relevant guidelines.

  6. Provide procurement and contract reporting to key internal and external stakeholders.

  7. Oversee the completion of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to procurement.

Requirements

  • Completion of a relevant degree or postgraduate diploma, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Significant experience in leading and managing end-to-end procurement processes, including contract negotiation and supplier management.

  • Strong understanding of government purchasing and contract management policies and practices, procurement governance frameworks, and risk management practices.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement efficient and effective procurement strategies and processes that support purchasing operations and align with organisational goals.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to support and mentor colleagues and foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.

  • Ability to prepare high-quality, timely reports and briefings, which provide comprehensive insights into procurement activities, aiding in decision-making and strategic planning.
