Operations Supervisor Job Overview

The Operations Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the efficient management of daily operations. This position is responsible for coordinating and scheduling curbside collection fleets to meet established KPIs.

  • Coordinate the maintenance schedule to ensure all equipment is properly serviced and maintained.
  • Collaborate with line management to set and achieve operational targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve site operations and increase productivity.
  • Lead by example, creating a positive work culture that encourages teamwork and open communication.
  • Ensure timely completion of reports, including toolbox meetings and performance management investigations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a supervisory role, preferably in transport, waste, logistics, or recycling industries.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing teams and achieving operational goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
