Senior Workplace Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Workplace Health & Safety Advisor to join our Safety & Quality Team on a permanent full-time basis. This role will be responsible for managing the workplace health and safety portfolio across the organisation, including developing, implementing, and reviewing policies related to WH&S.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, with comprehensive knowledge of the WH&S Act, regulations, and codes of practice. They will also have knowledge of hazard management principles, experience in developing relevant policies and documents, and ability to identify safety issues and prepare plans to achieve safety goals.
This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with diverse groups of healthcare staff to implement health and safety performance improvement strategies. The successful candidate will be able to investigate accidents and incidents, make recommendations for preventative action, and present training and induction sessions.
