Home Health Speech Therapist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate speech therapist to provide high-quality speech and language therapy to patients in their homes and communities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' speech and communication skills to develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide one-on-one speech and language therapy sessions in patients' homes, tailoring techniques to meet individual needs
  • Monitor and document patient progress towards treatment goals, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective speech therapy techniques and strategies
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to discuss patient progress and treatment plans, ensuring comprehensive care

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Current license to practice as a Speech Therapist in the state
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with patients in a home care setting, demonstrating ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to empathize with patients and their families
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to travel to patient homes throughout the region, providing flexible and responsive care
