We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech Therapist to join our team in providing therapy services to clients from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The therapist will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment and treatment to clients with communication difficulties associated with a range of disabilities, including developmental delays or disorders and acquired speech and language disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, fluency and swallowing abilities of clients using standardised tests and other assessment tools.
- Develop individualised treatment plans and goals that target specific areas of difficulty and are tailored to the clients' needs.
- Provide evidence-based and culturally responsive therapy to individuals, families and groups in a range of settings.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate clients' progress towards achieving their goals and update treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, documentation and reports for each client in accordance with NDIS guidelines.
- Provide education, support and training to families, carers and support workers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Speech Therapy.
- An active license to practice Speech Therapy in Australia.
- Demonstrated experience working with clients across all ages, backgrounds and cultures with a diverse range of communication and swallowing difficulties and a range of disabilities.
- Knowledge and experience in delivering services under the NDIS framework.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills.
