
Activity Coordinator

The key to a successful candidate will be their ability to devise and execute diverse activities and programs that cater to the interests and abilities of individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan, and coordinate a diverse range of activities and programs tailored to the needs and preferences of participants.
- Create detailed schedules for activities and ensure they align with individual goals and support plans.
- Collaborate with participants, their families, and support workers to gather feedback and tailor activities to meet unique needs.
- Oversee the execution of planned activities, ensuring they are conducted safely and effectively.
- Coordinate logistics, including transportation and venue arrangements.
- Lead activities and provide support and encouragement to participants, fostering an inclusive environment.
- Monitor participant engagement and progress during activities, making adjustments as needed.
- Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of activities.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and outcomes for reporting purposes.
Community Engagement:
- Build relationships with local community organizations, venues, and service providers to expand activity options.
- Promote activities and programs within the community to increase awareness and participation.
- Identify and secure resources to support activity programs.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Community Services, Event Management, Disability Services, or a related field.
- Proven experience in planning and executing activities or events, preferably in the disability or community services sector.
- Familiarity with disability practice standards and participant needs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative approach to activity planning.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
