We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in raising community awareness and engaging with the local community to identify and address their needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective community engagement strategies to increase mental health literacy and promote headspace services.
- Work collaboratively with the local community, young people, family and friends, and local services to develop strong working relationships and build trust.
- Coordinate the centre Youth Reference Group to ensure that the voices of young people are heard and valued.
- Liaise with the headspace team to ensure that community awareness and engagement activities are consistent with local needs and evidence-based practice.
- Facilitate talks, workshops and groups to educate and reduce mental health stigma.
- Use a range of approaches to increase community awareness of headspace centre services.
- Bachelor degree in a relevant field such as social work, psychology or community development.
- Experience in community engagement and development, preferably in a mental health context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
